Course Description: Optometry’s own Jeopardy-style quiz show is back! Contestants, students from all the schools and colleges of optometry, answer optometry-related questions while their fellow classmates energetically cheer them on. You won’t want to miss this fierce optometric competition, generously sponsored by Essilor. The stakes are high — in addition to bragging rights, the winner will take home $1,000 and a crystal trophy; second- and third-place winners receive $750 and $500, respectively. A board review of systemic and ocular pharmacology and medical treatment with emphasis on the Dx and Tx ocular conditions, disease, and trauma. The course provides a review of the characteristics of both groups and individual medications; indications/side effects/contraindications as well as the mechanism of action and unique properties of the drugs.
