Dear AOSA Member:

As a health care professional, you are well aware of the rising cost of health insurance and the increasing number of students without any health care coverage. Don't jeopardize your financial future by going without health insurance! Evaluate this plan and others, and choose the best coverage for you and your family.

Sincerely,

James Hill III
President

Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan
Designed especially for AOSA Members:

The American Optometric Student Association is pleased to present the 2008-2009 Student Health Insurance Plan from UnitedHealthcare StudentResources. The AOSA Health Insurance Plan has been designed with you, the optometry student, in mind. Unlike many others, this plan has no list of doctors or hospitals that you must use. You may select the physician and hospital of your choice. Since many students are on external rotations in their fourth year, coverage is available where you are — anywhere in the world. Coverage may be purchased for periods of 90 days up to one full year.

American Optometric Student Association members who are undergraduate or graduate students are eligible to enroll themselves and their dependents in the insurance Plan. Residents who are AOSA members and who graduated from an accredited school or college of Optometry in the previous 18 months are also eligible to enroll in the Plan.

For more information, please call 800-505-5450 or visit https://www.uhcsr.com/AOSA to review plan details and print a brochure. Online enrollment is easy and takes only minutes to start your coverage. Residents of New York and Massachusetts have a plan specific to their state, so please be sure to select the appropriate plan. Plans not available in MT, NH, NJ, OR, PR, VT or WA.
