Student programs highlighted at Great Western Council

With more than 100 students from five schools attending the Great Western Council of Optometry in Portland, OR, the issues of education, political change and new technology were front and center at the regional optometric meeting.

For the first time, some students were able to get travel grants from western schools that typically have not been at the meeting. GWCO is comprised of 13 member state optometry associations including; Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming, and Washington.
