The Optometric Historical Society invites all optometry students and residents to learn about optometric history and fulfill education requirements for Optometry’s Meeting travel grants by participating in Blast From The Past.

AOA on Capitol Hill

AOA on Capitol Hill is the AOA’s single-largest annual advocacy event in Washington, D.C., directly connecting optometry’s advocates and leaders with our nation’s policy leaders to advance optometric eye health and vision care for the benefit of all Americans. Our annual hill day is a key reason why the AOA is consistently recognized as one of the most effective, respected advocacy organizations in the nation’s capital with hundreds of doctors, optometry students and affiliate leaders participating in this 3-day fly-in to deliver optometry’s priorities.
A limited number of travel grants are available for *eligible optometry students to attend AOA on Capitol Hill, April 14-16, in Washington, D.C. The AOA will offer eligible students up to $425 travel grants (based on receipts), as well as two nights housing, to help offset travel expenses for attending.
Eligibility: Must have a permanent work/residential address in the United States (not including U.S. territories) to be eligible for a travel grant.*
Registration is required by Friday, March 15.
